Maven download error on tutorial jira standalone creation

David Kerekes February 3, 2013
When I try to run the
atlas-run-standalone --product jira
command, I get the following error:

I have a jira standalone (the one coming with an installer) already installed in another directory.

I have the proxy set up correctly in settings.xml, and we have checked the company firewall for blocked connetctions, it lets through the requests from maven (tough some come back with a 404).

I'm totally unexperiewnced with Maven, do you have any ideas where to start debugging?

The second set of errors was soved by this fix:

http://techgrafitti.wordpress.com/2011/03/02/maven-unable-to-find-valid-certification-path-to-requested-target-issue/

And also, don't forget to add your proxy's certificate to it, if your proxy works that way :)

I used this fix: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/20079/plugin-sdk-does-not-use-http-proxy

Now I get a different set of errors, saying it's unable to get the certificates.
