Are closed issues in JIRA taken into account in Greenhopper when ranking issues?

Matt Robbins September 25, 2011

We are using greenhopper and we have a project that has thousands of issues. So when I go to the Agile tab after selecting that project it takes a long time to come up. I am partly assuming because of the # of issues we have open and it takes time to build, rank and sort the issues.

So my question is if we close a bunch of issues will this help speed things up? Does Greenhopper when bringing up on screen all the issues does it ignore those issues that are closed?

Thanks,

Matt

Closed issues are still ranked. Released issues are not.

How many issues are you showing on one screen? And which browser are you using? I have found greenhopper to be a little slow with over 100 issues displaying on a single page... and its a bit slower than normal in Chrome... and slower still if you have bumped up the font size any....

Thanks for the answer. I haven't bumped up the font size and I am only showing 30 issues at a time on the screen. I am trying to bring up the Planning Board and that is what is taking so long.

We may need to increase our memory on our box and tweak configuration to help speed things up. Thanks for your help Jon.

If anyone else has any thoughts that would be great.
