Import attachments using CSV import and Webdav

andrew.ohara January 27, 2013

Hi, I have a script which generates a CSV to migrate my project from Lighthouse to JIRA OnDemand.

I am just having trouble figuring out where to store the attachments on the webdav server, and which URL to specify in the issue row for the csv. This information isn't very explicitly stated, and what information I do find, varies greatly.

Where do I store attachments on WebDav? (If it matters)
And what URL do I specify in my csv rows to point to the attachments?

Thanks for the help

Tuns out I can just zip my attachments, and upload it and my JIRA XM backup to webdav. That works a lot nicer.

Unfortunately when performing the CSV import I would advise to ask the Atlassian support engineers to upload your attachments to the <jira home>/import/attachments folder.

In your CSV file you can define the attachments like this: file://<attachmentname>.<extension>
