Why do some User Profiles have a yellow star on them?

I'm using Communardo's User Profiles macro and would like to get rid of the yellow star which appears on the thumbnail of some user profiles. I can't find any mention of it in the documentation. Note that I'm not following any of the users that have a yellow star. When I hover over a user image, the star disappears from the image.

Hello Maggie,

please excuse the missing explanation in our User Guide. I've updated it and I hope it clarifies your question:

A superior is marked with a yellow star on their profile picture. Therefore at least your peronal superior has a star. If someone else of your colleagues is a superior, this person will also be marked with a star (as you can see on the screenshot). Please be aware, that this star only appears within the org chart, and not on the general profile pictures.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact our support via products(at)communardo.de

Greetings, Stephanie

Thanks for this update - I had the same question.

btw, I believe it would be much more convienient for the users to display (instead of the star) a little "+" or "-" symbol in oder to let users "expand" or "collapse" a specific branch in the org chart. This would change the browsing experience and of course add some dynamicity. My 2 cents...

Best; Terry
