I am the only one in team who is getting this error. All my other team members are able to created/edit pages without any issues. The Confluence admins tell me that there are no issues on their side. I have tried different browsers, clearing browser caches, different laptops, etc. But I always get the same error.

Recap on resolution:

Issue is related to an apache or SSL cert which was having a token issue. The work around was to bypass the DNS or Hostname of the confluence server and access the site by direct IP within the url. To accomplish this, do the following:

Access confluence via IP instead of DNS name. Example: https://192.168.1.10:8090

How to do this:

Windows:
Windows Key + R
Once the run prompt is present type in CMD.
Once the CMD window opens type: ping CONFLUENCESERVER.COM
It should respond with the IP address of your confluence server (something like 192.168.1.10)

MAC:
Open your applications Navigate to Utilities and open it
Navigate to Terminal and open the application
Within the terminal type: ping CONFLUENCESERVER.COM
It should respond with the IP address of your confluence server (something like 192.168.1.10)

@Stephen Sifers Thanks for your response.

The content I am trying to add (for the purpose of testing) is just a single word (4-5 characters).

The page already has just a line of text. I am not creating or editing the page with any macro.

I am able to create a blank page with no items in the page and I am then able to edit that page. However, I am seeing this error only when I try to edit a page created by somebody else.

Are you accessing confluence over https? If so, can you attempt to access confluence via IP instead of DNS name. Example: https://192.168.1.10:8090 How to do this: Windows: Windows Key + R Once the run prompt is present type in CMD. Once the CMD window opens type: ping CONFLUENCESERVER.COM It should respond with the IP address of your confluence server (something like 192.168.1.10) MAC: Open your applications Navigate to Utilities and open it Navigate to Terminal and open the application Within the terminal type: ping CONFLUENCESERVER.COM It should respond with the IP address of your confluence server (something like 192.168.1.10)

Thanks @Stephen Sifers. This workaround helped. I am now able to edit pages by using the IP address instead of the hostname. Weird issue as all my team members are accessing Confluence using the hostname only.

If this work around worked then there may be a configuration issues with your confluence site or its SSL cert. I would push back to your internal IT time to report the work around and have them take another look. Glad you are able to do what you need now!

Are you attempting to upload a large file to the newly created page (Maybe above 10MB)?

Are you attempting to create or edit a page with a macro of any kind?

Can you create the page blank with no items within the page?

Logging into YOUR account on a NEW laptop has the same issue? That is so very strange.
