Is it possible to create subcolumns in a JIRA Agile Kanban board?

In one of my boards I would like to break one of the columns 'Testing' into the three subcolumns while still being under the 'Testing' header. I understand it might make more sense to just break it into three separate columns or to create another board specifically for testing, however the client is very insistent that it be done this way. Is there a way to do this natively in JIRA or through the use of a plug-in? Thanks so much for your assistance!

Not currently https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/GHS-2521 . In theory you could write a JIRA add-on that hacks the html and shoves it in, BUT it would probably break a lot of things in the UI - so no.
