Can I trigger an action when an issue changes swim lanes in Jira Agile?

David Murphy February 24, 2015

I have an agile board with multiple swim lanes.  The swim lanes represent levels of escalation.  When an issue reaches an escalation threshold, I'd like to trigger an action, like a post action in a workflow.  Essentially, I want to change the value of an issue attribute, e.g., priority when the escalation occurs.  Any way to do this?

Issues automatically change swim lanes based on severity and time open, e.g., createdDate > 5

David, how do users "escalate" an issue in the system? The easiest way will be to add a post-function to a workflow step.
