Authenticate local wiki users using Active directory ldap

Sreenadh Menon February 10, 2015

Hi,

While trying to authenticate local wiki users using "Active Directory LDAP", the users are still in the "Confluence Internal Directory" and still authenticating with the wiki password. the "internal directory with ldap" is made the first option in the user directories. But still the existing wiki users are getting authenticated with local password. In the user profile I noticed that the Directory still shown as "Confluence Internal Directory".

Is there any way to modify the Directory of existing wiki users to "Delegated LDAP Authentication" so that it gets authenticated by ldap. This is an issue when selecting "Copy User on Login".

Hi,

did you try to change the order in the directories list? Caution! Keep an second backup admin user for you to login. You can change the order by clicking the blue arrows. If LDAP is above Internal the LDAP is 1st priority:

CONFLUENCE/plugins/servlet/embedded-crowd/directories/list
