Confluence 3.4.9 People Directory Inadvertently Hidden?

Scott Kruis December 7, 2012

My People directory seems to be hidden. When I browse to 'People Directory=>All People, it returns no users. However, people are able to login & I see the users when viewing them from the admin console. I did see some article about admins hiding the people directory for security but we have not instituted this

I forced a manual re-index & rebooted the server. This worked!

Hi Scott,

You may be running into a known bug with the people directory. Please review this KB article which explains the cause of the issue and follow the steps to resolve the issue:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/People+Directory+Empty+or+not+Displaying+the+Proper+Number+of+People+due+to+Users+that+have+been+Deleted+from+LDAP

If this is not the case, we may need you to log a support request so we can investigate further.

Thanks Ryan.

I did open a case as we do not use external user management at the moment. We are in the process of upgrading to the newest release but have to do it in steps since our version was so far behind.

Thanks,

-Scott
