How can I change default order for attachments

Hello,

I've posted this to support, but looks like it's beyond their scope:

Our designer creates many mockups and prototypes of UI. Developers should take them in work after designer is done. Unfortunately attachments sorted by name instead of date by default. This caused a sad situation when wrong mockup was used by developers

I've googled and found old ticket without any solution.

I would wonder if we can do anything to change the default sort order for attachments in JIRA.

Download the JIRA source archive from http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/JIRASourceDownloads.jspa. You will need to log in as a user with a commercial license to access this page.

Attachment implements Comparable and AttachmentComparator class is used, where the default order is by file name, than create dates. I think that it is impossible change this behaviour by some configuration, you probably need modify comparator class.
