Hi,
currently we are developing a Scrum board on the basis of JIRA as the backend. Therein, issues represent stories, subissues represent tasks and versions represent sprints. However, we got now the requirement that (different) teams can be assigned for each sprint. That leads to the question if it is possible to assign a group of users to a version, or more generally, to add a custom field to version.
Since, I'm completely new to JIRA, I'm wondering how to realize this. Apparently, it is not possible to add custom fields to version out of the box. It is neccessary to write a plug-in to achive this? Where should I start? It would be very nice if one could point me in the right direction.
Thank you and kind regards
Vincent

You can refer this question which i had asked a long time ago .I have created 2 metadata fields for versions in JIRA.
There is a lot of material to get through. I'll give it a try.
Thank you very much.

No, we do not use GreenHopper. I just need to know, if it is possible to add a user group to the version in JIRA. Is there a way? Thanks in advance.

You mention a scrumboard, are you using GreenHopper the JIRA plugin?
