Does anybody know if there is a workarround for creating a subtask issue from a dashboards filter gadget?

i think i've raised this bug for jira 5.0.3 and it was accepted...
but i got now idea if i am the only one who need this function to work or not...
reproduce by just opening the more actions wheel
it works fine from issue navigator...but not from dashboard :(
