opensearch

Is OpenSearch plugin still required for proper functionality of the SharePoint Connector 1.9 on Confluence 5.6.4, on Servers 2008R2, for both Confluence and our SharePoint 2010 Enterprise farm?

The reason I ask this question is I just upgraded our Dev environment to 5.6.4 and I see OpenSearch 1.0.10 is the plugin installed. The UPM is stating the OpenSearch plugin update is incompatible...

Thank you

Hi @Robert Fox, from SP connector version 1.8 the open search plugin is bundled in SP connector jar so you don't need to install the open search plugin separately.

The endpoint for new open search servlet (bundled in SP connector) is a bit different with the old one, it's

plugins/servlet/opensearch/1.0?query={searchTerms}&format=rss_1.0

You can refer to this page for more detail information and configure the federated search using new open search URL

Hi,

has OpenSearch functionality been removed from the standard Confluence Server? If not, what's the URL? The one above doesn't work.

thanks,

Len
