Why does the backlog view still show story points as nil for an issue type we have removed points?

We have a spike issue type and we do not point those so I have removed it from the screen, hidden it in the field config and created a new configuration scheme removing the issue type and projects. I've done this for years and the dash used to go away in the backlog view once everything was removed so I can clearly see that this ticket should not have points but that's not happening. I've used "find my field" to make sure I covered all of my bases and it's still there. What am I missing or is this no longer a thing in backlog view?

Try a full re-index of JIRA with the help of Admin will fix this issue
