Hi,

We have one JIRA Project setup within which we manage  "Multiple functional projects"

Each project is made up of Stories and they all belong to different epics. Each story of a project has a specific Label identifying the project it belongs to so the Labels identify all project stories of a project.

Team accesses the projects through Filters named after the project and filters uses Label name of the project.

We have a need to show a list of all Active projects and i am not able to figure out whats the best way to do this with our setup as above?

Hi @Prashant Rajan ,

Try using the Labels gadget of Jira. If you configure it to use your Jira Project and Labels field, it will show all your labels (functional projects).

Hello @Prashant Rajan

I've just returned from TEAM24!

A major update shared during Team '24 is the integration of Jira Work Management (JWM) with Jira Software (cloud only) to create a unified project management tool, now known simply as Jira. This version caters to all teams and emphasizes business objectives and goals across the organization.

Additionally, Atlassian has introduced the list view feature for Jira. You can now leverage the list view alongside filters to fulfill your specific use-case requirements.

Cheers

Ajay

First, create a custom field in Jira to store the status of each project. This field could be a single-select dropdown field with options like "Active," "Inactive," etc. You can then assign the appropriate status to each project.Go through each project and assign the appropriate status to indicate whether it's active or inactive.Update your existing filters to include criteria based on the project status custom field. For example, you can modify your filters to only display issues from projects that have the status set to "Active."Create a dashboard or board in Jira where you can display a list of all active projects. You can use a filter gadget or a project summary gadget to display the active projects.
