Hello everyone,

In my project, there are two fields: "Time Tracking" and "Original estimate". There are a couple of issues regarding this:

1)  The "Time Tracking" field is not shown while customizing the Board view.
It's present inside the issues: 1.png
However, when I want to add this field to the custom view:

2) Also, when I set a value for the "Original estimate value" it gets shown as the "Time Tracking" but not as "Original estimate" on the general view.

Like here, Original estimate is 2h, time tracking is 1h

but on the board view 2h is set against "Time Tracking"

Would like to know whether it's a defect or I am doing some wrong in terms of configuration

Thanks

Hi @Andrii Pavliuk and welcome!

You can configure the time tracking method on your board in the board's configuration. This article explains the configuration possibilities in detail. If you configure your time tracking as "Remaining estimate and time spent", the remaining time is displayed on your board instead of the original estimate.

Please keep in mind that the "Original estimate" never changes except if you modify this field directly. As the name suggests, this is the original estimation of the issue which shouldn't be modified automatically.

Hope this helps!

Edit: I just realised that the question is for JWM instead of JSW. Maybe someone else can extend my answer to JWM, as I am not an expert on how time estimation works in this project type.
