Hello Mahesh,
Thank you for your interest in using the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant.
At this point, JCMA as we call it doesn't have the capability to migrate Jira Service Management projects, we are working hard to make the Assistant capable of migrating Jira Service Management projects to Cloud.
We are tracking our progress through the following feature request, make sure to watch it to get any updates.
- Support migration of Jira Service Desk projects
In our Cloud Roadmap, you can see the following entry.
Jira Service Management migration
Jira Service Management
Use the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant to migrate Jira Service Management projects to cloud. Service Desk projects can currently be migrated using Jira site import.
Q2 2021
If your Cloud site already has data in it, site import will not be an option, since it overrides the existing data and replaces it with the backup coming.
You might try to test migrating the issues alone using the JSON importer, the JSON importer would be better than using CSV since the issue history is critical for SLA calculations.
We hope this helps you, if not, please feel free to contact Atlassian Cloud support to discuss your case.

Thanks for your response . Currently options are import through JSON or CSV for migrating to existing Jira Service Desk Cloud.

I have just cross checked our existing cloud instance we have running software projects live. But there are no Service desk project on live,In this case we can use Jira Site import right it will not delete jira Software projects data.
Kindly suggest me to go forward.

Mahesh

Hey Mahesh,
Even if you have only JSW projects, a site import replaces the data with the backup you are importing, we don't recommend doing it if you want to keep these projects.
In this case, you are correct in your previous comment, there are only these two options CSV or JSON.
Feel free to contact Atlassian Cloud support and we will assist you with your migration.
Thanks!

@Daniel Brito _Atlassian_Are there any updates on JSM migrations via the assistant, or an updated ETA by chance?

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for the invite - I'm really looking for more of an ETA on the finished product than to actually migrate JSM content at this time. I appreciate the offer though!
