any prospect for supporting Windows?

Keith Mason February 6, 2023

We'd like to have autoscaling Windows runners in addition to Linux ones.  We have done an internal POC for using an EKS optimized AMI attached to an EKS cluster on AWS.  We have then put the Pipelines Windows runner inside a docker image and deployed it as a kubernetes pod.  This all seems to work.  The only thing that seems to not be configurable is the hardcoded runner label "linux" in the DEFAULT_LABELS variable.  We can change the constants.py file to eliminate or substitute "windows" for "linux", but it would be better if it were supported out of the box rather than have "linux" be an assumed label.

Thanks!

@Keith Mason  hi. We have the discussion that covers support of the windows runner  in general within a team.

We decide to add support of the windows runners to our roadmap, but this will be implemented approximately in 2-3 quarter of the year.

Answering your current question you could try to modify constants.py file before support of windows runner will be implemented.

But we tested only for linux platform where Bitbucket API relates on label `linux`. Currently we don't know the workflow with windows platform.
